Relive Auburn’s National Night Out with these photos
The City of Auburn proudly celebrated National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 1, alongside hundreds of other cities across the United States. The entire goal of National Night Out is to foster and enhance the relationships between neighbors and law enforcement, in addition to city staff and elected officials.
The City of Auburn’s NNO event is coordinated by Chris Lovings, our amazing Neighborhood Programs Coordinator. Many in our community have probably met Chris at one point or another, and that’s because he does a wonderful job connecting our residents with community resources and events that uplift and help introduce people to new friends and neighbors.
NNO is a massive undertaking of planning, often involving coordinating site visits between hundreds of people. Chris manages to pull it all off without breaking a sweat — despite that early August heat!
This year marked a fantastic return to form for this annual event after the COVID cancellations and doldrums, as staff and elected officials were able to visit dozens of neighborhood celebrations across the City, from North Auburn, to Lea and West Hills, down to South Auburn and even the Outlet Collection.
Relive the amazing night with these photos.
